Complex person-centered services

The Botanica Community Mental Health Center was founded as part of the reform of the psychiatric system in Moldova in 2014, in a joint effort with the health authorities to provide people with mental health problems and their families with services close to home, in the community, oriented to complex needs, having a multidisciplinary approach, based on modern science and human rights. The Center was founded with the participation of an initiative group of people with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities and their families, with the support of international friends and UN organizations. At the moment, the Center is the largest in Moldova and provides the most complex services, both outpatient and inpatient, within the Unified Health Insurance Program (CNAM) and privately.
